coping with stress

stressModern life brings with it modern problems, and in the high powered societies of today we see an increase in stress related illnesses that probably outweighs other maladies. Prolonged exposure to stress can manifest in a wide variety of physical, emotional or neurological imbalances that can seriously deplete our ability to function or cope with life's demands. So important is this issue of stress that even companies are legally obliged to take action in stress related cases.

You can take active steps to reducing your stress factors now by reducing the pressures around you, or by learning to cope with them in a more positive way.

There is no 'sure fire' way for stress management, the uniqueness of each individual must be balanced against their needs and ability to cope. For some people engaging in physical movement such as yoga, dance, aerobics and the like, will be sufficient to reduce stress. For others this approach may not work.

Counselling through stress will enable you to identify areas in your life that are causing your stress points, and allow you to find ways of either negating or of reducing their effects. Stress management requires your total commitment and vigilance in maintaining any program set for you, and the ability to keep a precise record of your achievements.
